In a strategic move designed to significantly bolster its capabilities in responsible sourcing, supply chain traceability, and overall operational transparency, Goldman Sachs-backed risk management solutions provider LRQA has announced the acquisition of Omega Compliance.
Headquartered in Hong Kong, Omega Compliance operates as a specialized provider of supply chain monitoring and integrity solutions and services. The firm has carved out a distinct niche supporting global clients—particularly those operating within high-scrutiny sectors such as retail and apparel—as they navigate mounting regulatory pressures, consumer expectations, and operational complexities inherent in modern global supply chains.
The comprehensive suite of services offered by Omega Compliance spans several critical pillars of corporate sustainability and risk mitigation. These include responsible sourcing programs featuring detailed supplier audits, tailored supplier improvement initiatives, and specialized protections for migrant workers. Furthermore, the company delivers extensive solutions dedicated to supply chain security, anti-corruption compliance frameworks, and end-to-end supply chain traceability.

Jon White, Managing Director of Omega Compliance, emphasized the cultural and strategic alignment of the two organizations following the announcement of the transaction.
"Omega has built its reputation on integrity, transparency and trusted client relationships," White said. "Joining LRQA allows us to build on that foundation—combining our on-the-ground expertise with LRQA’s global reach and broader capabilities—while continuing to deliver the high standards our clients expect. We’re excited about what this next chapter enables for our clients and our people, and the greater impact we can achieve together."
The acquisition represents the latest chapter in an aggressive, highly focused M&A strategy pursued by LRQA since it was acquired by Goldman Sachs Asset Management in 2021. Formerly operating as the business assurance and cybersecurity division of Lloyd’s Register, LRQA has systematically expanded its portfolio through a series of targeted transactions aimed at cementing its position as a global leader in ESG and supply chain risk management services.
Prior to welcoming Omega Compliance into its corporate fold, LRQA completed several notable acquisitions that have steadily broadened its sustainability advisory and technical capabilities. These include the acquisition of responsible sourcing advisory firm Partner Africa, supply chain carbon management solutions provider RESET Carbon, human rights advisory organization Ergon Associates, and Hong Kong-based supply chain sustainability and risk management solutions provider ELEVATE.
Industry analysts note that the addition of Omega Compliance provides LRQA with crucial regional assets and tactical depth. The company brings an established, highly regarded footprint across vital global sourcing hubs, including China, South Asia, Southeast Asia, and Turkey. This localized presence is considered indispensable for multinational corporations seeking real-time visibility and compliance verification deep within their supply tiers.
LRQA leadership highlighted that Omega’s specialized competencies will directly reinforce the parent company’s overarching growth strategy. The integration is expected to accelerate LRQA’s capability expansion and deepen its geographic reach in critical international markets where regulatory mandates regarding human rights, environmental due diligence, and forced labor are intensifying.
Ian Spaulding, CEO of LRQA, underscored the strategic value of the transaction for the firm’s global client base.
"This acquisition reflects our continued focus on building meaningful capability in the regions and services that matter most to our clients," Spaulding said. "Omega brings deep expertise, strong local presence and a reputation for quality that complements LRQA’s, as well as our global scale and digital capabilities."

Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The integration of Omega Compliance’s team and technological infrastructure into LRQA’s existing global framework is expected to proceed immediately, reinforcing LRQA’s comprehensive offering as companies worldwide face an increasingly complex landscape of cross-border trade regulations and sustainability reporting standards.
